Bell's - The Planets Series

My local store is getting it (and devil dancer) tomorrow. I am having my brother in law just get me some from bells tomorrow. Don't know if I should have him pick me up a Mercury if they have it still. Never did try it.

Passed up on a bunch of limited goodies at the store today. Just had to hold back. Did grab a victory sour monkey but passed on the Brooklyn quintceratops

 

Just reading Quintceratops' description gives me diabetes. Quads are sweet as it is, I can't imagine the sweetness on that.

 

I have a sweet tooth. Only thing so far that was too much was crime brûlée.

A double barrel aged quad just sounds amazing, just couldn't stomach the price.

Sorry, just realized the last few posts were about Neptune. I was referring to Uranus.

 

Neptune sounds terrible.

 

I would honestly just call the store on this one. IMO, you aren't being "that guy" asking for current availability of a current product.

 

Most of those things seem like they would be OK in a stout...but all together, I'm not so sure.

 

Apparently going for the title of "The Most Confusing Beer. Ever."

 

Not to thrilled about this one. Probably will buy as much as I can find though. They will probably end up "aging" next to Venus in the basement.

So much for the idea this would be batch 9000 or black note one offs.

 

Yeesh, this reminds me of something I'd try making for dinner after noticing that all the spices that were purchased to make one particular dish ("I'm sure I'll finish this bag of star anise..." "There are probably tons of things I can use hickory bark for...") are about to expire. Did they just dump whatever was in the pantry into this?

 

Neptune is the only beer in the series that sounds appealing to me. Any idea what ABV will be? I'm glad I don't like hoppy beers, that saves me a lot of money.

Thanks, CB_Michigan, I needed that laugh. While I was in traffic court with one daughter this afternoon the other one was busy getting into a car accident. And people wonder why I drink so much beer . . . .
