As a huge Spinal Tap fan... I might just have to put on my trading boots for this one.

Weren't they not going to do the "1,000 batch" releases anymore?

Had some of this on Saturday at a beerfest in Madison, WI. Really good stuff. Picked up a couple sixers in Madison yesterday also. I was at the store pickng up some BCBS and asked about this and it was still in the back room and the manager said he hadn't even figured out the price yet but would sell me some. Decided to sell it for $16.99 a six pack.

You should have told him ``but this only goes to eleven."

It hit Northern Kentucky today, but it looks like we don't have much. My local shop had to sell singles only.

Thanks, I was at their Grand location around noon and they didn't have any yet. I assume it will start showing up in the next few days.

For the Grand Rapids crowd, I was told it would be at Sicilianos on Thursday the 11th. They said it was likely to be limited to 1 per person. Not sure if they meant one 6er or one bottle.

Had a bottle last night, its f-ing awesome.

I know this is blasphemy, but it might be better than Hopslam.

And in a blind tasting I'd swear it had come from a Cali brewery.

I agree with previous posts that Bells is a very skillfull brewery, and has always followed their own path.

Hello. Scored 5 6-ers yesterday at various Chicago area locales. Had one last night, and it's my favorite "Batch", over the previous 9K and 10K, (even tough it's not considered a Batch series offering). Was banging away on the Batch 10,000 the last few weeks, and that has definitely come into its own. I'm still nursing my boatload of 9,000. Larry Bell said "it could age for 14 years", so I have plenty of time, I guess. Look forward to trying this on tap sometime soon. Thanks.

Had a large taste of it at the Brewfest Octoberfest event in Iowa City and it's very very good, looking forward to finding it on a shelf. An Imperial Red it is, didn't taste boozy at all

I mentioned this in the Great Lakes forum too, but Siciliano's got it today. $3.09/bottle, two bottle limit.

I just posted my review of this and can honestly say I have no idea what the draw to this beer is and it goes up in my book as one of the worst bell's offerings I have had. To those people who are running around town buying up six-packs just because it is still available... have you tried it yet?

My glass is still half full (opened it half hour ago at too cold of a temp) and I think my sink is about to have the rest of it. I dont know what the heck they were going for with this brew but it is a fusel mess. It reminds me of a bad batch of nugget nectar but with shots of bottom shelf vodka added to it. Perhaps I had an off bottle? Reading the other reviews of this is hardly even similar to my experience.

Mine had none of those problems. I drank one as soon as I got home with it and I thought it was great.
