Just announced today that the 2016 Motley Cru glass (stemmed bulb) will be available for sale again starting tomorrow (Dec 13) at 5pm. Appears to be the bell logo instead of the Motley Cru grim reaper though.
Don't mean to hijack the thread, just didn't want to create another thread altogether for a Bellwoods merchandise issue Does anyone have any idea what their hoodies go for? I've seen them on Instagram and Facebook and I have a friend who is going to swing by the bottle shop for me if I want him to before he flies home for the holidays. I just want to know the price, because over $40-50, I'm not interested in the hoodie and I certainly don't want him going down there for nothing. Really disappointed with the communication I've got from the brewery itself to be honest, I've tried asking on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and even through e-mail but not a single response. They don't answer the phone either. I'm sure they're just busy with the holiday season, just hoping maybe someone here knows the answer.
Afraid I was unable to get down there to purchase any. Just noticing now that you are in Illinois, so not a feasible trip for you!
Can't remember the exact price but $50 would be on the low end of what they are charging I believe. More like $60-75. Nice hoodies though. Posters $35. Felt baseball hat $30. $15 a glass.
not excusing their customer service, but some quick background for you: -the person who took care of their communications just went on mat leave -the just opened their second location and things have been chaotic -it's pre-xmas -they have a phone? -i;'d never use IG to communicate with a successful business. too many replies. they can't read them all, never mind reply to them all
If they're good quality, I'd be more than willing to pay that price point. I'll take your word for it! I'm more used to the lightweight ones we get from breweries around here so I just wrongly assumed it'd be the same. If they have somebody who went on maternity leave, then all is forgiven. In the meantime, I did actually get an answer Christmas Eve (which impressed me) but it was too late for me this time sadly. Now that I know the quality/price, I'll definitely be getting one when I have a friend come in the next time. PS - Whoever does the social media for Bellwoods actually does a really good job of replying to questions on Instagram, which is partially why I was frustrated I couldn't get an answer. It almost seemed like they were avoiding my question.
I can second what atomeyes said. It's a busy time for them being the expansion, down a seasoned hand and 3 or 4 big releases in the last couple of weeks. Plus Christmas!! Mike Clark, co-owner, handles the instagram. So that's where the best info tidbits come from regarding releases etc. Also, they don't typically answer pricing questions on social media. I think that is pretty much standard across the industry in Ontario, at least the breweries I follow. Just opens them up for people ripping on them regarding pricing in an open forum. Smart really. The hoodie was $60-75, but I don't remember exactly. Very nice quality, and worth the buy. Got lots of compliments on it already.
