What's the deal with this place? Are they making their own beer or is it being contract brewed by Pour Decisions? Are they a brewery or a distillery?

Never heard of them before ABR this year. Tried all their offerings there and the imperial stouts all seemed super solid. But it was getting late in the afternoon and I'd been doing a "little" drinking at that point.

I posted this because I see they are doing a bottle release tomorrow and I was hoping to grab some bottles to try again.

Less a contract arrangement and more a alternating proprietorship, as I understand it (somewhere, I have a very polite email exchange from the proprietor, Bartley Blume, in which he explains it very well.) While I wouldn't ordinarily link to an article in Vita.MN, but this one will do in a pinch. :sunglasses:

The beers I had from them at ABR tasted like bad homebrew. I'll give them another shot but probably the worst stuff I had that day.

That was my memory as well. I wish everyone the best, but based on ABR, I have lowered expectations for this one.

Really nice guys at their booth at ABR, but neither Dark and Ghostface Fatha worked for me.

If anyone is curious, spotted bottle of Bent BrewDistillery at Rum River in Anoka, so they're out in the wild. They had both the Nordic Blonde ($4) & Dark Fatha ($7). At least the prices are relatively non-insane for a new brewery, & for that I'll give them a shot.

Dennis Brothers has been carrying them. They had a tasting not long ago. They seemed like nice guys. I thought the brews were pretty decent at the tasting but haven't cracked my bottles.
