Maybe @Josh012012 can provide better info, since he seemed to be in the know on this previously...

Just left there and it sounds like more talk of a slight delay.. they are going to push out the date at least a week into feb now. I dont think they even know exactly when it will be yet due to the new equipment. Though I stop by in person alot they keep assuring me that when things are ready they will post on Facebook

Is this the same beer that was on at Red Cow a few months back? Or did they previously have a non BA Double Shot Double Black?

So I cracked open my regular double black a couple weeks ago and the cap under the wax was completely rusted. The beer tasted ok but not up to par with all the reviews posted here. Not sure if it's because I couldn't get over the rust thing and my brain was playing tricks on my palate. Anyone else have this issue? I sent bent paddle an email about it but they have not responded yet. Here's the picture: https://flic.kr/p/DcrZtW

A lot of Prairie beers do/did this, I believe it happens because their is moisture trapped under the wax when they dip it, I didn't notice any issues with my Prairie bottles that had rusting issues

According to the Bent Paddle tour guide this morning, BADSDB was bottled (partially) yesterday and will be released to liquor stores starting this coming Friday 2/5. Not sure when it will reach the Cities though.

Special release cask BADSDB at the taproom on Wednesday 2/3.

This happens when you dip bottles cold. When the cold bottle hits the hot wax you get instant condensation, which is then trapped under the hardened wax. This can potentially cause issues years down the line, but I'm guessing it would take several decades for there to be any adverse effects on the beer itself.

What was the price on double black last year? Expect this version to be similar price point?

So reading the label, it sounds like these aren't Bourbon or whiskey barrel? Just plain first use oak barrels? That would explain why I was left a little disappointed. It was pretty good, but I like beers that have tons of bourbon/whiskey.
