If I like the new Pale half as much as Harness the Winter, I'll be happy.

I'm bummed this isn't coming back as I really enjoyed it, but I trust that whatever takes its place will be excellent as well.

Maybe they are just changing the name due to the virginia lawsuit?

I doubt that is the case. The lawsuit was over the use of the hiker image, which is/was very similar to the one on Long Trail's logo. They changed their labeling and continued to put out this beer after settling the dispute.

The series of beers (Trail Series?) is rotational/experimental in nature, so they are probably just moving on to the 3rd iteration of the series. They might bring this recipe back as a limited seasonal or full time brew, but it won't be part of the Trail Series. Paddle Break Blonde was the first in this series and Bent Paddle just announced that it will be coming back as their summer seasonal.

Edit: No source on if Day Pack will come back or not, just my speculation.

Saw a couple mentions of a new beer being canned by Bent Paddle. I had previously said that I didn't think Day Pack would be back and it seems like this new beer, LollyGagger Pale Ale, will be taking it's place as a mid/late summer seasonal.

Bent Paddle also tweeted today that it would be out Mid July:

Thanks @BrettHead for posting the picture. Gotta work on my technology literacy I guess. Anyone hear about the hops this beer will use?

"Lollygagger"... what an awful name! I'll give it a try so I hope the beer is good, though.

I'm excited for this one. What's the ABV?

Maybe if you bothered to read the label, you would understand why they named it that.

According to the label it's 5.2%. Are these labels really that hard to read?

I like the name, especially given the reason for it and the cause it supports. Moreover, I love a (hopefully) good low ABV beer.
