Seriously. Hottenroth is $7.49/750ml, and as you indicated, excellent.

That costs less than the cost of shipping before you even give up the arm/leg end of the trade for said beer.

Just send a BM to StakeM. He will tell you everything you need/want/never knew/never imagined about Berliners.

    Cheers!

Not sure if you ever road trip from Plainfield to Duluth, but if you do, Fitger’s has a great one called “Champagne of the North”. It is really well done. It’s a rotating seasonal from what I can gather and is worth seeking out (as are most Fitger’s beers).

Plus, he mans up when drinking terrible beers that others drainpour! Don't waste beer/food.

Channeling my inner Butthead: "Don't waste it Beavis, there's like, hungry/sober kids in Indiana or something."

I just opened one and liked it. Wasn't really all that complex but it was tart and refreshing. I enjoyed it while sitting out by the pool.

You guys have pools in Jersey? I thought it was all boardwalks and guidos.

    Cheers!

As far as I am concerned the differences between Deesko and Oarsman are truly negligible.

Can't recomend this one enough, Oursman is certainly one of the most reasonably priced. It is the one Bells beer I have not had that I have access to. Which judging based on their other products is a mistake.

This is one of the reasons I love homebrewing. If there isn't a lot of commercially available beer in a certain style I can always make one for myself. If you use a sour mash and keg you can get a nice tart bw done in about 2-3 weeks grain to glass

Off the shelf at WineWorks down south. Awesome stuff. They also have the Bahnhof Leipziger Gose in the tall, penile snap top bottles.

Woah, I only mentioned that today in a review. You are on top of your game. Edit: oh wait, that was my last terrible review.

Back to the topic: Without being redundant based on what others have already mentioned... If you are/were able to snag Deesko than you should be able to acquire Pipeworks when they release theirs (if it isn't out already.) They have a blueberry one and another one in the works if I understand correctly.

I need to make one soon, probably next summer though. 3 of the people in my homebrew club have regular rotation recipes of their own. All three are mashed differently lol. I will probably go the acid malt route and a Berliner sour culture. I don't really want to do a sour mash in my apartment :grimacing:

Well then, I have my work cut out for me as I am right on the northern border, but there is a glimmer of hope. Muchos gracias, and wish me luck- I think I need this now.

Ah you're too modest, I found the review entertaining enough to warrant a shoutout.

Besides, have you seen some of the truly terrible reviews? (OK no smartasses link one of mine).

Tartare is perfect in its own. But the thing that really impressed me is that Bear Republic had the raspberry and woodruf syrup so I could try the beer the traditional way. It was like I was in Berlin.

As great as that experience was, I drink the beer straight now. It's perfect the way it is.
