I am big into Berliners and sours. Heading to Nashville in a few weeks. I know yazoo has the funk series. Any other local sours or Berliners I should look for?

Not really. Fat Bottom has a seasonal Berliner (lychee maybe?) right now.

Thanks for the reply. I am stoked to try the Embrace series. I was told Yazoo usually has 2 on tap so I'll swing by one day after lunch when in town!

In addition to having two ETF beers on tap, Yazoo also should have some to go bottles available. Southern Grist in East Nashville has started making a few sours, and so has Mantra in Franklin. Can only get SG in their taproom, but should be able to find Mantra around town on tap and for growler/crowler fills.

What is best way to ship bottles back home? Bring sweatshirt and pack away in luggage? Or find a FedEx and ship to myself? I'm only going to be in town 3 days so some bottles would be great to savor at home!

If you have room in your luggage I would bring some bubble wrap, electric tape, and some ziplocks.

Put electrical tape around the cap of the beer. Then wrap it in bubble wrap, then insert in ziplock. Place in center of luggage. Remember it has to be checked, no carry on's.

Thanks for the advice! Definitely plan on bringing home a bottle or two. And think it'll be easier to bring with me on plane (checking in) rather than ship it to myself

Be sure and check the taproom hours. They are closed Monday and Tuesday and don't open until 4 the rest of the week (except Saturday) if I recall correctly. Hate for you to stop by and they are closed.

Plan on swinging by on a Saturday afternoon for a quickie :-)

    Went to three breweries

Southern Grist - their stone hill sour ale was amazing. Peach apricot sour that is probably one of best sours I've ever tasted, especially at 5.5% (I think)

Yazoo - super packed. Tried their brett saison and grabbed a couple ETF bottles to bring home

Jackalope- in love with Lovebird, their strawberry raspberry hefeweizen. Bringing home a 6 of cans
