Does anyone know if this years version is still both red wine and bourbon barrel aged? Has it improved from last years supposedly infected batch? Is it delish?!
This year's (2013) bottle says it's "aged in oak bourbon barrels". The only mention of wine is in the description of the beer ("chewy wine"). It's quite good. The bottle I had is not infected.
I had a 2013 last night and it was darn tasty. As far as your first ? , pmarlowe's answer was spot on.

Well I'm glad to hear that its good but I wish they would still double barrel it with red wine and bourbon... Hopefully the maple and molasses take my mind off of that!
