What are some of your guys' favorite BBA beers that you don't have to go to some crazy event and wait in line for?

Heavy Seas - Siren Noire and Blackbeard's Breakfast. Loved both of them and were only 6.99 - 7.99 the times I bought them.

Backwoods Bastard is consistently good -- one of my go-to beers each November.
Weyerbacher Insanity and Heresy in 4-pks.
ATG London Balling (used to be easily available in midwest, not sure nowadays).
SN BBA Bigfoot is not hard to find, but ~$20 for a 750ml (affordable?). Recently had a 2012 that was quite impressive.

As tricky as they are to find in Maryland, ~$16 for FW's (non-anniversary) barrel aged beers is extremely fair, especially Sucaba or Parabola.

...okay, Velvet Merkin is a bit overpriced for what it is :stuck_out_tongue:

I've seen that one around quite a bit. Wasn't sure about the style but maybe I'll have to grab a single to try it out.

I agree on Backwoods Bastard and Heresy, also New Hollands Dragon Milk is a good one. Foothills BA People Porter is steal as well.

Around here (Ohio), I love Thirsty Dog's Wulver and BB Siberian Night (both year-round shelfies @ $6/bottle). I think their distro is decent outside of Ohio too, right?

Well, out here, BA Narwhal, Midnight Sun Berserker, Black Xantus, and a lot of the BA Clown Shoes beers sit on the shelves for a while. We don't really have beer release events out here, unless you count Zwanze Day.

Easiest to find on shelves cheaper barrel aged beers I think is during the season the Backwoods Bastard and the Central Waters

Central Waters rules! Along with the Brewers Reserve series, add in Space Ghost IS with ghost peppers and La Petit Morte (brewed in conjunction with Local Option).

I saw it for $11.99 on sale at BevMo out here recently. Other than that, Total Wine always seems to be the cheapest in town. Probably just a case of right place right time.
  34. GetMeAnIPA

    GetMeAnIPA Defender (667) Mar 28, 2009 California

I can see if a particular place has it on sale but the standard stock price is gonna be around $15. I've found total wine to be less expensive than Bevmo.

Dragon's milk is one of the best, widely available BA stouts out there. If it was limited like it used to be it would get way more respect.

I'll join the Central Waters love fest. The Brewers Reserve series is fantastic, nearly, if not on par with Bourbon County. And while they continue to offer 4 packs at about $20, I'll continue to give them more of my business. Great beers.
