If you guys are ever down in Australia, try out Purrumbete Brewing in Victoria - the Red Duck series. Absolutely fantastic for a new player and a huge range.

I have a hard time listing a brewery as "Best All Around" unless they brew a wide variety of styles, this includes lagers (note the s, not singular).

As much as I like Founders, Lagunitas, Stone.... they don't meet my criteria.

Give me Sierra Nevada, Bell's and Firestone Walker. New Glarus deserves mention as well. While I would not list either of the next two breweries in my personal top 10 list, both Victory and Great Lakes brew a wide variety of ales and lagers, and brew them all well.

No love for Samuel Smith's? C'mon, folks. Who else brews such a wide variety of iconic beers?

Surprised to hear only one vote for Russian River and nothing for Hill Farmstead. That said, I haven't been fortunate enough to try any offerings from either brewery.

    Bell's gets my vote.

Someone above voted for New Glarus, and I'll agree. I'll also add Short's Brew her in Michigan. Both breweries distribute only in their home state, so I have to wonder if their focus on 'home' is what helps with their beer quality to be able to get them nominated into this 'best all-around' category.

Have to cast another vote for Toppling Goliath, although I haven't gotten to try their big stouts yet, all their pale ales/IPA's/DIPA's are outstanding. For more widely available beer, Bell's, Founders, Boulevard, Stone, and Deschutes are my favorites of what we get in Iowa.

Bells, Founders just about all winners in different styles. I'd add Lawsons and HF too, but a little sequestered to be mentioned to a question like this.

    Deschutes and Lagunitas.

My son is home from working on his Master's at Bowling Green and brought back plenty of Great Lakes, so far everything I've had is a very good solid beer. ChillWave is damn good.

"Beering" in mind ( yes that was an awful pun but I had to do it) I live in Ny and have never had anything from Deschutes, great lakes, Russian river, or Odell. Favorites are Lagunitas, victory FW, and Sixpoint.
Honorable mention to founders for being amazing but too expensive for me too drink often so I wouldn't say it's a favorite.
