Yes Sierra Nevada doesn't make just IPA. They had an imperial stout that was absolutely amazing a couple years ago. The 30th anniversary. Now Lagunitas while they have some good beers doesn't belong here. They don't send out all around beer. Just mainly IPAs.

Not going to pretend like I read all of this, but saw a lot of great ones I agree with. Definitely have to keep Sierra Nevada on the list just based on variety and consistently solid year-round coupled with some of the best limited releases. I feel like Stone for the same reasons. I love Green Flash for their hoppy brews but you gotta give them credit for their other great brews as well. Not sure if anyone brought it up, but Great Divide deserves a mention. Can't remember a Great Divide beer I've had that wasn't great. East coast, I'd agree with Sixpoint just based on variety alone. I think Dogfish Head is also a good mention. One I'm not sure I saw and I know is a bit odd, Boulevard. They don't make as many standard brews, but they are big on variety and consistently great from style to style.

I was being sarcastic and it obviously didn't sound like it on here.

Stone and Lagunitas can only be considered if when you say best all around breweries you only take into account American styles of beers. Lagunitas basically only makes American styles and Stone only does American styles well.

I have to think the only thing that Shaun Hill might be physically unable to do with beer is to brew a bad one. I seriously think it would be difficult for him to do even if he put as much effort into it as he did his best beers.

are you talking just about the beers that a brewery puts out? or the whole brewery experience? if it is the experience, then Bell's and New Glarus are tops
