O'dell Myrcenary for me. One of the most underrated beers out there IMO. And only 9 or 10 bucks for a 4 pack around here

My vote goes to Hop Wallop.

Quality: ranks right up there with some of the best. The fact that it's bottle conditioned gets an extra point in my book.
Availability: year round, easy to find near me.
Price: ~$12 a sixer, we'll worth every penny.
Convenience: Again, usually available. Extra long shelf life (1 year) makes it the envy of any hop-head!

Haven't tried The Truth yet, but really looking forward to another good priced DIPA in 6 packs.

I currently buy tons of Maximus and Sucks when it's out, I'd love to have another beer compete for fridge space.

Hard to pick but love some Hop Wallop. Reasonably priced and taste.

Could not agree with the OP more. This is an OUTSTANDING DIPA at a great price that's all over MD/DC/VA right now. It will be distributed all over in the near future. Not sure where the complaints about the nose are coming from. I couldn't get enough of the smell.

Does The Truth have an easy to read Bottled On date? (Sorry, too lazy to check.) If not, it doesn't belong on any list except "IIPA I will never buy."

Maximus is my #1, and I'd be happy drinking it all the time- love the big juicy pineapple/orange quality.

Ruination a close #2, and has easier to read Enjoy By dates.

Southern Tier 2xIPA $9.99 6 pack. I would prefer Lagunitas Sucks, but haven't seen it in over a year.

Ruination is probably the best all the time available, but it's more expensive by a long shot here, the 4 pk is around $14. As limited as it is Abrasive kicks ass, HT kicks ass too, but we all know the distribution area. No way any other DIPA stand up to the two latter, every other DIPA fights for 3d place. Two Hearted Ale is still the best I can get here everyday, and what I buy when I want an IPA with a 6er under $10..

Sucks hands down, but wait like you said it fails the criteria, in that case I'd have to say one of these:
    • Stone Ruination
    • DFH 90 Minute (English hop profile so most would disagree on this one, but it's a failsafe really)
    • Hoptimum (Again I don't think this meets the criteria)
While Hop Stoopid is cheap, it's not great. My opinion only.

Amen to that. Really hoping Iowa gets Odells soon. One of my favorite beers.

    Quality: Abrasive then HT.

Availability: Myrcenary - year round and my area gets a lot of it.

Price: Myrcenary @$10 on average for six, it's a great brew and very tasty.

Though I don't buy much Myrcenary, for all the factors listed above I'd have to consider it tops for me. Now, I buy a pile of Abrasive when in season and I don't care about price so much.

As for the criteria, I have to go with Ruination as well. Great price, great enjoy by dates, great beer!
What's with all the IPA love on a DIPA thread?
    Maybe it'll be Sucks....someday...
