I really enjoyed Casey Hop Mess, West Ashley, TH Back Into Emptiness, Dortothy and Arthur
HF hands down. Oxbow, Jester King, Logsdon and Kent Falls are some others that come to mind.
Logsdon makes some great Saisons.
Under the radar and hyper-regional: Olvalde Farms out of Minnesota. Some really splendid farmhouse saison-style ales.
Tank 7 - Boulevard
Colette - Great Divide
I can only speak for Tank 7. I had that recently for the first time and loved it. I've seen a larger bottle by some brewery named Blackberry Farm I want to try.
I remember when they first called it Tank 7 in the Boulevard tap room. It's close but not quite the same. I still wish they made the original Boulevard Saison:
I think that was my first ever bomber/big bottle of beer whatever you want to call it.
Blackberry Farm is making some amazing saisons.
Not distributed outside of Virginia and DC but Siren's Lure from Fairwinds is damn tasty..
Pretty broad category. Seems some range from tasting like a zestier wit all the way to others that taste lambic-like. Others are heading into IPA-level hop territory.
For the "clean" ones, I like Colette. I like almost everything Troy Casey does on the mixed-fermentation side of things.
Yes, make sure you try them. Their saisons are amazing. They're getting ready to put out a line of Belgians I'm looking forward to.
Anyone who does not currently should by themselves a mess of Tank 7s and sit on them. Start drinking them when you have passed the best enjoyed by date on the bottle. That isht is delicious.
So many great saisons now but one that instantly comes to mind is Saison Hands by Tired Hands Brewing. The best? I don't know about that, but damn good!
The best ones I have tried (according to BA's ratings) are;
Great Divide Colette
Love buzz hasn't been mentioned. Anchorage brewing.
I just tried one saison from us , Tank 7 from boulevard so i guess i have to pick that one
Better than tank 7 and some others mentioned, imho.
Huge fan of Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, but it must be fresh. Big ups to Tank 7 and Hennepin for readily available saisons and I also really enjoy Prairie Standard, super crisp and clean.
Gotta show love to Ohio brewers. Rockmill in Lancaster is making some killer farmhouse/saisons (their main focus) and they have a lovely little space down there.
I tried a Tank 7 for the first time tonight & it was excellent!
