Slight bias but worth trying since they don't really distribute far and haven't hit the trade market yet are the farmhouse ales coming out of Transmitter Brewing in Long Island City, NY.

Agreed. Cellar Door is among the most original-tasting american saisons with its white sage. And Stateside is a really solid, dry, classic-style saison that probably gets overlooked.

Easily attainable, Tank 7 is hard to beat.

Transient and Jester King make some of my favorites though. Just drank a Transient Brutus last night and really enjoyed it. The Jester King Dichotomous series is always interesting and has produced some of my favorite treatments of saisons I've ever seen.

My personal favorites though, La Petite Prince, Saison du Ble, and Arthur.

+1 for Transmitter, they have been getting better and better with their brews

I had Logsdon Peche ’n Brett over the weekend. Insanely good and quite dangerous at 10%

I think you are spot on with your analysis. I personally really like what the Americans are doing with several types of beers as compared with their European counterparts. Saisons, Tripels and Strong Pale Ales to name a few.

This is a great point, but I say "close to Dupont" in terms of the quality.

Dupont is still my favorite no-frills saison

They have been making a lot more sour stuff of late, added brett, a few goses and just released a sour stout that have all been very good but I think saisons are their bread and butter.

Just because they are available doesn't mean Ommegang Hennepin and Brooklyn Sorachi Ace aren't incredible. I put both up there with DuPont or Hill Farmstead.

Any of the saisons by Blackberry Farms and Birra by Prairie are all great saisons. Willows Family Ales makes a really nice saison as well called Funk In The Trunk
