Best and Worst Named Beers

    The best has to be 668 Neighbor Of The Beast. Double Bag also gets points. Worst for me was Katz Pis.

    I love the controversy these topics bring. I would hardly consider Enjoy By revolutionary and balsy. A lot of craft brewers have been putting "enjoy by" dates on beers for years. Because Stone names their beer that and prints it REALLY BIG it's revolutionary and balsy? If anything it was great marketing ploy (including its distribution plan), and it worked. It's a good beer, but it's way overhyped. Call it Stone Fresh IPA and send it everywhere it becomes white noise.

    DirtWolf is just terrible. I haven't heard one person that likes the name.

    dirtwolf isnt the worst ive heard but it is highly dissapointing...victory coming out w a new imperial ipa is big news and they should have put a little more thought into it bc unfortunately a lot of people do judge books by their cover and the name dirtwolf is really the only consistent knock on an otherwise oustanding beer

    The name is dumb but I think the label looks bad ass. They just released another "new" seasonal DIPA today. It's only new if you haven't been to the brewery and had it on draft though. Ranch.

    My all time favorite is Blithering Idiot. Appropriate name for an 11% barleywine.

    My all time favorite is Ruination.

    The worst is Grand Teton's Bone Warmer. I got drunk one night and inadvertently asked for some more Warm Boner :grimacing:

    Even thought the beer is super fantastic, Heady Topper is a pretty stupid name (and I personally don't like the artwork on the can). None of that really matters though when the beer is that good.

    That's the thing. I personally find the name humorous, but the terribly photoshopped picture is creepy as hell and the blurb on label is pretty poorly written.

    Zombie Dust makes no sense as a name for a beer, but it's absolutely incredible.
