best aussie brewery

What's the best craft brewery in Victoria?

 

Maybe Bridge Road, Mountain Goat, Mornington or Red Hill? Someone surprise me and say Buckleys...

 

Also throw into the mix Holgate and Moon dog. Red duck also has some interesting, one-off beers.

At the moment Bridge Road is the stand-out for me (in my top 3 in Australia right now).

 

Mornington then daylight for mine

 

I enjoyed Moon Dog, particularly .

 

I'm still salivating over the Vienna Lager I had when I was there in October.

 

Have you tired "The Local Brewhouse" in hallam vic..... New brewery, over 200 reciepes and ciders, its a brew on premise with a cellar door and sports bar, they have a number of original beers and i think their signature beer is spiderweb... Its bloody great.....

 

I live close to Holgates and enjoy most of their brews.
Also have to agree with many on here re. Bridge Road and Mountain Goat being at the top of the tree.
Haven't seen the Jamison brewery mentioned yet, their Mountain Ale is one of my favourites when I can find it.

 

My Melb favs are probably and Mornington (for anything malty), Boatrocker (hops, belgians, sours, barrel aged) and Thunder Road (lagers, sessionable ales, pale hoppy beers, rauch and schwarz have been outstanding). 3 Ravens and Mountain Goat do some pretty shit hot specialties - Black Mass, The Druid (Ravens) and IRA (Goat) have been recent highlights.

 

Enjoying the Batch Brewing beers, clean and tasty. They change a deal (hence the name batch), nice fellas too. May not be the best brewery in Aus, but having a fair crack.

 

My favorite is Little Creatures but I can't wait to try Feral next time I am in Perth.

 

Where could I find these?

 

slowbeer should be able to supply most of them, and they deliver across Australia as far as I'm aware

anyone know where I can find bottles/kegs of the boatrocker berliner?
