I guess there is a plus side living in Scranton. Bars have wicked specials. And the thing is that they have 2-2.50 you calls it. So i often get DF 90min on TAP for $2.I also had rouge hazlenut for $3 a pint. Does any places where ya'll live have great specials? what was it of?

I was pretty happy when I ordered a Crooked Stave Surette on tap and discovered it was only $2.

Deals like that gives people who might be leery of craft beer because of the price, a chance to try something out of the box. One bar month long special was 2 dollar curious traveler shandy. It's no SNPA but, it was nice to see my usual BMC friends to drink something that doesn't end with light or lite.

$8 pitchers and $2.75 12oz of zombie dust. Doesn't happen that often but it's nice when it does.

Not overly spectacular but $4 pints of Head High every happy hour at Cloverleaf Tavern is pretty damn solid.

If you're paying more for the pour than you would at the store, its not a deal.

My favorite deal was Faux-bab at Acre during Chicago Craft Beer week. BCBS Cherry, FW XVI, Sour in the Rye, etc. all for $6 an 8oz pour. All in one place. best night of drinking til Zwanze day.

AliveOne is a dive bar in Chicago that does $2 pints on Tuesdays. Nothing super special, but getting Anti-Hero, Alpha King, Breakfast stout, Lil Sumpin, Bell's Christmas, etc in the city at that price is always really impressive.

I understand the logic, but when you buy beer at a bar you're paying for the service, heating/cooling, glass cleaning, conveniece, selection, etc. Depending on where you go, the deal might not look that "dealy" if there's higher overhead, it's a small/new place, or they serve like 30+ beers on tap.

No and I don't expect those deals regularly. But for a special promotion or event, I've definitely seen beers become cheaper than when sold in bottles.

Mahaffey's Happy Hour: 3 10 oz. pours for $5. They get some good stuff, but they don't count towards the Beer Club and not every beer is available for the deal. ($5 for 30 oz.)

Max's 32 oz. pours not available for all beers but just most of them. Same price as normal, but only during their Friday Happy Hour (sometimes they have it at other times though, but not sure on the hours).

Draught House in Austin has Texas pints for $3 on Sundays. Jester King Let Petit Prince is cheaper than buying at the store in bottles (~$7 for 750ml) at that price.

Opal Divine's still does $2.50 Texas Pints on Wednesdays, iirc... although their selection isn't quite as wide.

I remember back when Flying Saucer first opened in San Antonio when I was living there and had $2.50 pints on Mondays... I got some real beer education real quick going every Monday, lol. It used to be the majority of the menu back then with a very few exceptions (now it seems like only 25% of the menu qualifies for it and it's gone up $1 or so).

I also went to Pinthouse Pizza and they had 12oz pours of BP Indra Kunindra last week for $2... because the keg was moving that slow, lol.

Mellow mushroom(upscale pizza place) has $2 pint night on Wednesdays. Usually their high gravity beers are excluded, but there are still a fair amount of decent options. Most recently I had Anderson Vally winter solstice and Bells two hearted.

Vintage in Madison has $1 Wisconsin 12oz. drafts, which includes New Glarus Moon Man, Ale Asylum Madtown Nutbrown, and PBR. It's pretty insane.

Not a cheap special, but we had this line up at Parker Pie in West Glover, Vt. A couple months ago. I'd say that's pretty special

Keeping in mind that it is in NY...The Black Sheep Ale House did $4 pours on all 25 of their taps from the 4th of July to Labor Day the last two Summers. Lovely.
