Ya, I'm having a hard time picking between Founders, Bell's, and Kuhnhenn. Also Dark Horse should get in there.

For Missouri, it's gotta go to Side Project or Perennial

No...it would not be safe to say that. Especially around people from MO.

I realize my mistake. I'll rephrase:

"Is it safe to say the best barrel program in Missouri is Boulevard's?"

I haven't had enough of FW's barrel-aged stuff to formulate my final opinion, but I don't think that with all the various Bourbon Counties, Sisters, and Cthulhu I'd be comfortable leaving Goose Island out of the "hands down" conversation.

It's also gotta be Allagash for Maine, and maybe Portsmouth for New Hampshire?

Colorado: A lot of love will be showered on Crooked Stave, and while it's deserved since their product is good and barrel aging is their speciality. However, I feel that the hype toward the new guy greatly overshadows the barrel aging programs of the old standbys like Avery and Odell that have continued to put out solid products for decades.

Marble Brewery is probably number one in Barrel-Aged beers in New Mexico, but La Cumbre has been unleashing a lot of delicious barrel-aged offerings as of late and giving Marble a run for their money.

I'd say Jester King for Texas, too.

FFF for Indiana because of the BADL's but Upland lambics are right there.

Some of Three Floyds's barrel offerings are considered some of the worst BA beers ever, though. Biggs Stache and Bully guppy come to mind.

That's actually wrong. They have a ton of barrel aged beers, and the back of their beer warehouse (located off site from the actually brewery has huge/entire corner dedicated to barrel-aged beers. And...they use a bunch of different barrels. I'm not sure if you've been lately, but they had barrel-aged Hibernation on tap all of last week, and often have Sour Puss, a barrel-aged sour on tap. So...whoever you talked to probably didn't work at Great Divide (or just has no idea what he's talking about). Regardless, yes, they have a good (and still intact) barrel aging program.

Having had all the sisters, previous vintages of the sisters, and plenty of bourbon county variants I'd strongly argue so. Haven't had Cthulhu but that's one beer and quite limited and for that matter we could bring the Parabajava into the same argument. But given the fact Sour Opal is better than any of the sours Goose Island has put forth just solidifies my opinion. Goose is great, but can't stand in the same ring with the Lion and the Bear!

I've yet to see any newer batches released and the bottles say stranahans and I believe the guy working at GABF. Just because it was on tap doesn't mean it's a new batch.

True, but most breweries put out at least one or two bad beers. It's just that FFF's good BA beers are SO good that it puts them at the top in Indiana IMO.
