Tweak and Mephistopheles are the 2 best I have had. WWS is way to boozy. I also really liked Founder's Bolt Cutter.

The only beers I've had at 15% + are Founders bolt cutter, and DFH 120. Both are excellent, but prefer the 120. Steel Toe Lunker at 14.5 is also wonderful.

For me it's DFH Fort. Had a 2009 the night OSU won the national championship and was impressed. Haven't been fortunate enough to land any of the Bruery/Avery/Cobra bottles yet. Got a couple bottles of ADWTD at home though!

Mine is 120 Minute by default, as it's the only one I've had.

    Damn Ohio's 12% ABV cap.

From my scores, it looks like Avery's Samael's Ale is the winner. I remember loving it but, it's been so long since I last had it, I don't know if I would still love it as much since my palate is definitely very different these days. More recently, I got to try Founders Bolt Cutter at a bottle share and was blown away. Also a bit more recently, I had The Bruery's Fruet and it too was incredible. I specifically remember the intense raisin notes of that one being what I found so enjoyable but the other two I just remember that they tasted good. So I can't dial in a favorite but at least I presented my top 3.

For real. NC's 15% cap is annoying enough. If it was any lower, I honestly wouldn't have moved here.

I was actually looking at houses there, now I think I may need to reconsider. I had to drive over 2 hours to get 120 Minute and for the BCBS release and I don't really want to have to do it still when I move.

I'm afraid this thread is going to cause me to finally open that bottle of Tweak that I've had since last year:rolling_eyes:

We see BCBS here because, as a few have already stated in this thread, it's under 15% but yeah, no 120. It's not very often that a beer above 15% gets released that I'm absolutely dying to try but, when Bozo Beer came out, it upset me that I didn't even have a shot to buy it. It's not so bad for me because I'm in Asheville so, if there is something above 15% I just gotta have, I can make the hour and a half drive south to Greenville, SC and likely find it at Greenville Beer Exchange. I guess what I'm trying to say is, move to Asheville! Everyone else is! :grinning:

Had Samael's for the first time the other day. Holy lord was it sweet, and I'm not one to shy away from sweetness. I can only imagine what would happen with some age on it.
