Best beer for the beach (NC)?

    I'm new to beer advocate and the beer tasting world in general, but I love god beer. Any tips for good beach beer? I will be in eastern NC if anyone has local recommendations, Wrightsville beach area. Thanks!!

    Mother Earth Second Wind or Sunny Haze. Plus they are in canned which makes them easier to deal with at the beer. Enjoy!

    I live in Western NC and we are going to the beach. Thanks for the recs!! We recently went to beer fest but I didn't get to try Mother Earth. Heard good things about them though.

    How far from Asheville? Wicked Weed makes great pale ales and saisons, although no cans.

    If you're going to wrightsville beach you will pass right by Lighthouse beer and wine. Great shop, I'm sure they will have the Mother Earth cans. No glass on the beach, you will get a ticket, trust me.

    We are really close to asheville. I just don't know what store sells it. Don't think earth fare or ingles has it.

    You can get growlers at the Wicked Weed brewery itself, right there in Asheville. Great stuff there!

    I'm also a big fan of Ommegang Hennepin, a delicious, thirst quenching saison that is also reasonably priced.

    This is a great question. I'm going on vacation to North Topsail Beach (coming from NEOhio) and was keenly interested in what North Carolina had to offer in that area. Any suggestions? Any solid bottle shops there? Can Mexican Cake be had in that area?

    I'm fairly certain Appalachian Vintner carries Mother Earth cans, as well as cans from Catawba Valley and Asheville Brewing. Maybe cans from Aviator and Triangle Brewing, can't remember. Others as well I'm sure - they're helpful people, check it out.
