CALIFORNIA brewers have to many great beers of a vast amount of styles Utterly impossible to pick one. I am just having fun consuming the plethora great beers from the local brewers.

Being from CA, I'm tempted to say "f*ck this question", since our 40th-best beer is probably better than the single best beer from most of the rest of the states, but my vote goes to... no, you know what? F*ck this question. FW alone makes probably 15 different beers that are better than the best beer from the worst 15 states. Not to mention Noble, The Rare Barrel, Modern Times, Stone, Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, Russian River, Alesmith, Bruery, Societe, Alpine, FiftyFifty, Cellarmaker, North Coast, Beachwood, and probably 100 other places that churn out world-class stuff. *mic drop*

I will say that there are many contenders now though.

 

The craft beer scene here in Jersey is exploding and I love it. Until last week my vote would have went to Carton Brewings 0777xx but then I tried Crickethills Bourbon Aged Russian Imperial Stout. Wow, one of my fave brews of all time.

 

For Ohio, Bourbon Barrel Dark Apparition.

 

Not Dinner or Swish? Have you had either? I liked Allagash Farm to Face way better than Curieux.
