What magazine would you recommend for a new home-brew enthusiast/aspiring brewery owner?

Zymurgy and Brew Your Own should cover your needs.

After 20 years of homebrewing, I am not convinced I should open a brewery. why ruin a good hobby?

Once you are serious get the Brewers Association's New Brewer.

That was exactly my answer. The absolute only difference is that this month I've been brewing 21 years. Despite all my friends insistence that I open a brewery I'm happy with a hobby I truly love as opposed to a job I learn to hate.

couldn't agree more with hopfen. Zym & BYO for techniques and learning the basics of brewing beer. They've both got a great array of writers in the industry like Bryndilson & Cilurzo articles in Zym, Zainasheff & Tonsmeire in BYO handing out great tips & recipes.
Once you get serious, New Brewer will be your source to get the low-down on the more nitty-gritty of brewery operations, supply chains and trends in the brewing industry.
(looks like i'm the noob here with only 12 years under my belt )

Thank you guys very much. I live in the middle of Missouri, which is somewhat of a wasteland for craft beer so even coming across good literature is tough. Those were my two choices before I started the thread, but I am unfamiliar with the New Brewer, so your help has been enlightening and greatly appreciated. Thank you guys again for your time.
