Best beer market in DC

    quick question for anybody in dc or who knows the area well, I'm gonna be there for newyears and want to pick something up for the occasion, can somebody tell what the best beer market in dc is?

    Your criteria for "best" would also be helpful (selection, rarity, price, etc)

    I would stick around NW. Although that's pretty broad, most of the better known stores are in this area. Columbia Heights, Dupont, U-Street are just a few locations with solid liquor stores/beer bars.

    largest selection, most rare brews etc. no transportation other than the metro, staying near metro center chinatown

    Whole Foods P street, is your best bet, also check Modern Liquors on 9th and L, pricey but they do have a solid selection. Drink at Chruck Key and Right Proper.

    In Chinatown, RFD has a big selection, District of Pi, Iron Horse.

    Schneider's near Union Station (about 10 blocks down MA Ave from Chinatown) or CT Ave Liquors near Dupont (about 15 blocks up MA Ave in the opposite direction)
