I know, I know. We have seen countless threads on, "What's the best beer?" or "What's the best beer you've ever had?".

However, every time I've answered these threads, If I answered honestly, I couldn't answer the obligatory: Pliny, HT, King Henry etc... or some beer that I've had during a great experience (not diminishing/degrading any of these!). Though, I do normally answer in this way.

If I was to be honest, the best beer I've ever had has always been an augmented flagship beer that a brewery was serving or amazing creation by a brewer. So to answer honestly:slight_smile: the "BEST BEER I'VE EVER HAD" would be:
Double Simcoe Dry Hopped Head Hunter on cask by Fatheads brewery @ Firkin Fest in Pittsburgh
Citra Dry Hopped Interurban IPA on cask @ Fremont Brew

So, what is your "favorite beer".....that is, you're favorite you won't be buying at the local store anytime soon.

I can tell you with certainty the best Stone beer I ever had. It was maybe couple months ago at my local bar on tap. 2010 BBA Imperial Russian Stout that Stone brought to an event.

I'm kinda bummed I missed out on couple of others recently like FW Parabajava and Kern River 5th Anniversary on cask.

Mine would be 3F Framboos. I drank it with 3F Hommage, and then I had to get more Framboos so I scored two more. Plan on aging those for a bit. In my cellar I have a Bourbon DL and a BVDL that may top Framboos when I get the balls to open them.

Funkwerks Monarch Saison.....a blend of Tropic King and Exile King aged in a Chardonnay Oak Barrels. One time release, tap only. Probably the best thing I tried from them.

so far for me, Kalevipoeg at the Gates of Hell, Bourbon BA Porter, is the beer I most drool over and dream about wishing I had more. Had a 32 oz growler of it recently... phenomenal.

Dieu du Ciel Mea Culpa, India Cream Ale, a very hoppy cream ale on cask and pulled with nitrogen so half cask carbonated half nitro carbed. That was to die for

We could go back and forth on this all day. Just like the old saying goes, What came 1st? The semen or the poop?
