I just found out that I'll be in the Lodi/Hasbrouck Heights area tomorrow morning and afternoon, and I'll have some time to kill while I'm there. Any suggestions for best overall beer store? I normally make it as far as WF Paramus within my normal curcuit, coming from the northeast, for whatever that's worth. Thanks!

This may not be helpful at all but I am a big fan of Hudson Wines on Rt 3 in Secaucus.

Thanks for the tip. It's probably too far for today but might come in handy in the future.

Lodi has a buyrite. I’ve not been there but if you’ve been to other buyrites it’s probably similar

    Thanks.

I wound up going to the closest place on Beermenus, which was Heights Beer and Wine Emporium. It has a fairly decent selection, but I was more interested in what I don't normally run across. And I found a few things in the import section; although it is far from comprehensive, its strength seems to be in offering unusual selections. And they had a shitload of Italian craft beers, too. But instead I went a different way, and got bottles from Thierez, Engelszell Abbey, JW Lee's, and a French Brut Cider. Overall, a fairly productive way to kill some time.

Send me a message with your thoughts whenever you open the Engelszell.
