A friend is going to be in the staying near the USC campus this weekend a was wondering where is the best place nearby to find some regional treats to bring back to Minnesota>
Not a huge selection in that precise area (though plenty in L.A), but Ramirez Liquor is a good stop that's close-ish. Will they be able to leave the general campus area at all?
Yes, they are there to watch their son play baseball so they will be able to travel a short ways. Just not down to stone or lost abbey area.
Ah, so just not to San Diego... Unfortunately, Vendome Beverly Hills is still in the midst of their relocation process, but their Pasadena location is open. Stone also has a small shop up there as well that sells bottles. As far as LA beer goes, Whole Foods in Venice and Pasadena (as well as some of the others) have great local selections. I'd recommend they try to hit up Eagle Rock, Golden Road or Angel City if they can. Smog City and Monkish are both excellent, but might be a little too south for them, time-wise.
Wally's on Westwood is good. Plus you can check out the defending College World Series Champions and a Real University.
