I am going to be near the Boston - Logan Airport for a day before i go on a cruise and am looking for a good store to get some east coast beers. I wont have a car or much time but want to pick up some beer to ship home. Any suggestions for a good shop within a few miles of the airport or just south of there?

    Thanks

I'm guessing you won't have a car. In that case I suggest Boston Wine Exchange (BWX) on Devonshire St. or Charles St. Liquors on (you guessed it) Charles St. Both can be reached by the T (subway). BWX is not too far from the State St. T stop and Faniuel Hall. Charles St. is pretty close to the Charles St. T stop at the beginning of the Mass ave bridge.

If you have a car there's a lot more options.

Charles St is pretty close to the Longfellow Bridge, nowhere near the Mass Ave Bridge.

Haha good catch. Also, the Mass Ave. bridge is actually called the Harvard Bridge (but nobody knows that)

Social Wines would be a good place to check out. They have a great selection of local stuff. It's just a short walk from the Broadway stop on the red line.

LOL! You're right. I always confuse those two bridges.

Getting ready to fly out to Boston to take a cruise and need to smuggle some good beer on the ship. Does anyone know of a good beer store near the best western adams inn in Quincy, MA or anywhere in nearby Boston, MA? Thanks!

I get off the T at MGH every day for work and I never knew Charles St. Liquors existed until this post. I see "beer wall" in the description and now I can't wait to get the hell out of work

Also to contribute, Federal Wine and Spirit at the State St. stop on the blue/orange line has some good stuff and they are very knowledgeable. They keep a bunch put away in the basement so it's best to start a conversation and see if they have what you're looking for.

    Hi guys,

I'm planning on visiting Boston next week-end and knowing that New-England has many great micro-breweries and beers, I'd like try as many as I can and even bringing some back home to Canada.

My question would be: Do you know any places where I could find good craft beer (maybe places where I can build my own 6-pack) near downtown Boston. I'm more interested by stores than bars since I'll be with my girlfriend and young daughter.

    Thank's in advance.

P.S. And I hope watching the Bruins win the cup from Boston with real home fans!!
