Roger mentioned he's putting in like 20 Taps and room to sit and have a beer. Now I know what those kegs of Bcbs may be for that he's been saving.

Total Wine is ridiculously great in terms of price/selection but it's not an independent bottle shop.

 

Maryland hands down State Line

 

I'm in northern Virginia and the best I've found is Total Wine. I hear Dominion is good, but I haven't made it there, as it's a bit of a drive.

 

Cable is awesome. Check dates though. Some old beers! It is very crowded, so be careful or you can knock a lot off the shelf. But they get a lot of great stuff and have a good growler selection. Always talk and ask what came in. You might get lucky! I picked up some Pipeworks the other day (War Bird) and last week got the Ninja Amarillo, along with a Prarie Bomb!. Check their Facebook and Beermenu page, as they usually update it. Stalking them now to see if I can get some Grimm!

 

My first inclination was the Beverage Warehouse in Winooski, but so many items aren't priced and there are a lot of old bottles hanging around. I guess I'll go with one of the chichi organic hippy markets.... Healthy Living, Hunger Mountain, City Market. They all have excellent, well marked beer selections with consistent shipments of the good stuff (Alchemist, Lawson's, etc).

In MA I personally shop at Craft Beer Cellar a lot, great employees and a pretty much unparalleled selection. Kappy's is also good for a bigger chain, again usually a really good selection and some great employees.

Very local to me (Andover area) I would have to say Redstone Liquors. Excellent selection and the only place I've found so far that's actually competitive with CBC's prices. Also the Stoneham location is one of the very very few to actually stock Trillium since the owner goes and picks it up directly from the brewery 1-2x/week.

Discount in Milwaukee is probably Wisconsin's best spot.

 

Outside of Denver, I would have to say Liquormax in Loveland. Inside the Denver Metro, I couldn't tell you.

 

Probably Louisville Beer Store, Liquor Barn, or Beer Trappe.

 

Looking forward to stopping here when I make the trip up to PA to visit my family for Thanksgiving!

 

This is no doubt the best bottle shop in Montgomery County, MD and I've heard great things about State Line too.
