I'll be heading back to visit the moms next week, and wondering where I should go to find the gems? Parti Pak used to be my go-to, but I've not really been in Indy for years, so I'm up for suggestions.....

Parti-pak still has an amazing selection, but unless it is bottle dated I don't buy anything hoppy from them.

Crown downtown has a very nice selection. From there you can walk across the street to Tomlinson Tap room for 16 pints of Indiana beer.

Kahn's on Keystone also has a great selection.

If your mom is on the south side I would also recommend Payless just south of county line and 135. It is run by a great guy on BA named Josh.

I've never been to that Payless and it's really close to me. Do they have a pretty good selection? I live really close to Parti Pak, and haven't been impressed as of late. They like to hoard a lot of their seasonal speciality beers and sell them a bottle at a time ( for 4 pks)

Kahn's on keystone. Ask for Al, you will leave with great beer via his recommendations (and probably a mead or two).

I think they do, and Josh does a great job with freshness too.
