Best Bottles in Minneapolis?

    I wouldn't even stress about local beers, I mean I would. But go after breweries that distribute here that don't distribute back home first. After that, if you're looking for something local to take home… go after surly, indeed and lift bridge.

    If you're staying near Loring Park, for sure check out firkins just to see it. But personally I'd go to Liquor Boy in St. Louis Park.

    If you want the best beer selection in a bar that it about as laid back is it gets, go to McKenzies Pub, best beer selection down town.

    Thanks, all, for the tips! I got some good stuff to bring back home to DC.

    -2 bombers of Steel Toe, Before the Dawn
    -1 bomber Fulton Worthy Adversary
    -1 bomber Surly Smoke Lager
    -1 bomber Indeed Old Friends 2013 Holiday Ale
    -4 16oz cans of Surly/ Real Ale / 3 Floyds Blakkr

    Luckily my hotel was right across the street from Mackenzie's so went there a few times and on top of some local stuff got some awesome Deschutes pours. Made it out to Steel Toe's tap room for the Before the Dawn and got the rest from Haskell's downtown.
