Hard to take this list seriously when Two Roads is #12, and shouldn't even make the list, while Tree House is #18.

Wow! This list has some flaws as they all do, but this one is pretty bad.

Odd list for sure. I wouldn't expect to see Narragansett and Tree house side by side on a list unless it was a list of those two breweries in alphabetical order.

Didn't think it was awful. Can't have a list of 21 breweries that are known for IPAs. Nice to see NEBCO on there too.

Yes, it has nothing to do with them contracting for Lawson's and everything to do with their own line up being mediocre.

Yeah it's no secret that Two Roads is freaking huge and can take on just about any project. That doesn't mean that everyone from CT has to sign off on their beer. Big Sam Adams fan are you? Staple at the Harpoon taproom I am assuming? Being from Mass......

Not a TERRIBLE list but obviously very flawed as they all typically are. Strange to see Gansett and Two Roads but not Smuttynose though. For shame.

I think as of recent, Two roads is great. Since Lawson's has started contracting there, their staple beers have gotten better and better. Their sour series and even the stouts are better than mediocre, perhaps not world class, but certainly deserve a spot on a top 21 list. If you want to talk about mediocre, lets talk about Pretty Things being called #4 brewery in NE... other thoughts, agree Treehouse should be much higher on the list, and OEC wasn't even on the list! IMO they should be top 10 easy...

I will admit it's been a bit since I've had any of Two Roads offerings, maybe I'll swing by my local packy and pick up some Ol' Factory. With respect to where they fit in the list, it's great that they contract for some great breweries, which allows us all to benefit, but imho, they do not belong on this list based on the strength of their own lineup. I would easily put OEC and Beer'd on this list before I would Two Roads.

If you're a hops fan, make sure to pick up their 'lil heaven' session ipa, its normally super fresh and easy drinking, best low ABV locally brewed option that i've found, its replaced Founders All Day for me ...

Actually I have had quite a few Sam Adams and Harpoon beers. Also, I don't bash them in forums for no reason

I was actually most dismayed by the fact that the Alchemist was listed at #10. I understand that they've become more of a one trick pony since Irene struck...but Kimmich is WAY more than a one trick brewer. Also he almost revolutionized the way DIPAs are brewed in this era (almost as much as Cilurzo) and imho the fore-runner to this post-modern brewing revolution throughout New England. For those reasons alone...(sorry JC), but I would have put them at the #3 spot and Trillium @ #4....but simply opinions.
Glad to see the love given to Allagash though.

Having grown up in the same town as the old brewery and listening to Curt Gowdy intone "Hi neighbor, have a Gansett" throughout Sox radio broadcasts of the late '50's and early '60's, I've retained an affection for all things Narragansett. But in all honesty It's not one of the 21 best breweries.

I think that OEC being a younger brewery (one year anniversary in June) probably played a role in its omission.

I know this was posted a long time ago but I was in Mass last week and drank my first Narragansett Lager. The neck band says Narragansett Brewing company, Rochester, NY. There's only 1 brewery in Rochester, Genesee. They also brew magic hat and pyramid as well as all Genny products. Genesee is the 6th largest brewery in the USA.

Naragansett being on the list with no Smutty, Otter Creek, or Harpoon is a shame
