You do realize I hope that Westbrook and Wicked Weed are also irrelevant to most of us. I can't get that stuff. If we limit this to national brewers there aren't even enough of them to bother discussing. I can get Trillium very easily though.

Fat Heads is my pick. Best IPA's in the country as far as I am concerned. Fantastic lagers and killer stouts. Their barrel aged beers are awesome as well. Wide variety of true to style beers. I have been to probably 100 different breweries by now, they are consistently the best across so many styles. They are one that can basically do it all and exceed at it.

When we go there, I know whatever I pick will be awesome. I wish more people were able to experience the awesomeness they don't bottle.

I would also give nod to Founders as another one in that league. Victory as well, although more lager heavy (which is not a bad thing).

Huh. TIL. Come to think of it, I have seen Cranberry Berliner on the shelves, and now I know they do a full-on sour barrel project.

Probably worth noting their Rauchbier, too... I've had that, and it's really interesting, and not many breweries do one.

New Glarus. Though they only veer into some of the OP's specified styles on a limited basis, they nail them each and every time.

Perhaps but call me when you can walk in a store and buy about ANYTHING from Hill Farmstead. From the large number of folks that have gone to Boston--including me--Trillium is slightly better but the hype train has made it extremely hard to get.

Wicked Weed sells amazing stuff from Coast to Coast in NC and outside of a special release, a great IPA/Saison/Sour anywhere across the state--about any decent bottle shop and tons of larger retailers. They make a LOT. Their BBA stout was a special release and solid--not widely avail but wasn't hard to get. Westbrook, I would argue, similarly easy to get except for Mexican Cake. So a bit different than Hill Farmstead and available to many more on a much easier level.

Yes, that's true. I'll try to get Westbrook and maybe Coast when I head to SC this weekend.

Jack's Abby however, has similar distro here and was on my list of breweries that do well with many different styles.

Avery, Odell, Epic, and Great Divide. Although Avery's hoppy offerings aren't the hottest thing right now.

FWIW, Trillium is now exceedingly easy to get in Boston thanks to the Canton brewery opening. Also it's generally case limit per beer.

Wicked Weed gets distro up here now, too, and I agree their stuff is good, but expensive.

THE only one that comes to mind is HILL FARM.
Sierra Nevada would have but they do not know how to make a sour that's drinkable.

Except they dont make all styles. 'IPA'

They may not label a few of their beers as an IPA, but they sure qualify as such.

I'd say Goose Island has their barrel aged stouts and sours down.

Well I'm glad I got you to sign up for BA! Enjoy your time on here.

As far as me putting it under that style, my bad. It's not a regular style they make and I guess the high carbonation level of the beer reminded me of the carbonation levels of Berliner weisse and goses, so it went there in my mind. But yes, obviously not sour.

Avery seems to do everything style well. Tweak, uncle Jacobs. DDG. All the track # beers. And the Maharaja ipa is good too.

The Bruery comes to mind as well. But as others have said I don't recall a ipa.
