This can go many ways. And there are a bunch of breweries making awesome IPAs. From the east to the west coast. I think we should ask ourselves who is making the best IPA's within a reasonable distance and enjoy those. I'm a huge fan of Alpine, Societe, and Russian River but I actually have a brewery within 5 miles of my house that is making some just shy of the level the former three are at. DRAGOON. And they are in their infancy still so I expect them to grow and mature in their brewing prowess which just means more great beer. Actually some New Belgium peeps loved their beer so much they did a collab with them recently. Sure I can trade $20 worth of beer for a 4-pack of Heady and shipping/packaging included will run me $40. Or I can ride my bike down to the brewery and get how many growler fills?

Went to Peekskill Brewery on my last trip to NY and thought all their hoppy stuff made a very impressive lineup. Higher Standard, Eastern Standard, Amazeballs, and Awesome Sauce were all great.

I am partial to anything from the west coast, with that said my overall favorite has to be Ballast Point. Stone and Green Flash right behind that.

Regionally, for certain. The Hop Patrol series is just so well-conceived and executed.

Sierra Nevada. Bell's Oracle, and their Two-hearted is pure citrus candy to my taste buds. Founders Red's Rye PA, Double Trouble, and (this year's especially!) Harvest ale. I haven't had much Green Flash other than once or twice, but I love what I have tried so far. Schlafly's IPAs are very good and consistent IMO. The Tasmanian and AIPA for bottles, and many tap options.

I feel like it'd be a crime not to bow to Sierra Nevada at the top of this list. And I am loyal to the San Diego hop tradition! Port Brewing makes a bunch of fantastic IPAs (Hop 15, Mongo, Anniversary, High Tode, Wipeout), Alesmith with IPA and Yulesmith summer, as well as big hoppy reds like winter Yulesmith and Evil Dead Red, Stone with their special releases, of course Sculpin and Dorado from Ballast Point, and let us not forget West Coast and Palate Wrecker from GF, very on point.

Everyone has got some good IPA/DIPA producers listed already. We shouldn't forget Firestone Walker and Founders.

Can't just name one brewery. But these are my fav's for IPAs, no order.

    Stone

    Port
    Seirra Nevada
    Alesmith

I love Founders but I've tried some IPAs from an up and coming brewery called Living the Dream (LTD) and their IPAs are fantastic-- including a super strong DIPA that they jokingly refer to as a "Squared IPA" instead of a double.

    Boneyard.

If you like single IPA they have RPM
If you like double IPA they have Hop Venom

You dont need anything else if you have those two
