Inspired by the multiple "best AAL's" threads in the Beer Talk section, what are your favourite Canadian macro lagers? I personally enjoy Molson Canadian and Granville Lager (though I haven't had it in a couple years) and have been known to drink a Keith's or Sleemans on occasion.
Upper Canada Lager... very cheap, and surprisingly un-terrible. Canadian or Kokanee will also work for me, although I have not spent money on either one in a very long time. Hockley brews a Georgian Bay Beer that isn't bad (for what it is), too.
I actually don't mind most of the Rickards range. I hate it when I order it (usually in Boston Pizza) and it comes with an orange slice though.
Rickards Blonde, classified as a German pils here, is alright. The guy who said Pils above wins it. That's a prairie classic and I'd still drink it, for the nostalgia if not for the green apple taste.
Didn't know it was that much (it seems like a lot). Their number one seller and from what I hear profit maker is still their 6.2% Stone Cold Raft in 2L plastic bottles that is the same wort I drink with added sugar. The good thing is that they've started inching towards becoming a player in the local scene with their Brewmaster's releases. IMHO they are still hampered by the size of their system. They need to brew boatloads (200 HL IIRC) of any beer they choose to make. That said they lagered their Dopplebock for over 4 months in a tank and didn't filter it so they are committed to what they are doing.
