Did anyone say Heady yet?
Aside from Heady:
Jai Alai, Sculpin, and Modus Hoperandi are tough to beat.
Best one's I've tried are:
All Day IPA
Will have to try more.
The Great American Lager
I enjoyed it, but it was a tad boozy for me as a IIPA.
I agree with hi-res and resin even more so. Sixpoint makes magic in a can. I also enjoys me some stowaway ipa.
Maybe just a touch, but honestly I don't remember it being as boozy as the Double Trouble I'm drinking right now, and that's only in the 9% range. My favorite metric for judging these things is if I'm craving the beer a few months later then it struck the right notes with me; that's how I'm feeling about Hi-Res right now.
Union Duckpin Pale Ale
Heady, Resin, and Abrasive, followed closely by Ten Fidy.
These guys are good. Heady, Ten Fidy, Abrasive, Two Hearted, Dales Pale Ale.....
Heady by a good margin. Then Jai Alai and Gandhi Bot
Honorable mention: Ten Fidy and On the Wings of Armageddon
Jackie O's Mystic Mama (never had HT)
For some reason I really like Centennial IPA in a can on the golf course but of course Heady is the winner.
never had Ten Fidy, Heady, or Abrasive, so my vote goes to Jai Alai
If you mean ONLY comes in cans i'd say Sixpoint Hi-Res and Ten Fidy, if you are accepting beers available in bottles as well i'd say Jai Alai.
MKE Brewing Co. 4x16 oz @ $7.00
Not that I'd turn my nose to any Surly or Oscar Blues as these have been doin' it in cans from the start.
I'm just happy with the increase in the can innovation.
Haven't seen two of my favorites mentioned yet:
Half Acre Daisy Cutter
Thank you ladies and gentleman, the entire crew at Sixpoint is amped about your praise for our beers. In just three years its been a pleasure to share with you some of our original recipes at Sixpoint in the nanokeg format and we have some brand new nanokeg formulations set to release soon. Of course, you know where to find the chatter about this on this site...its what folks are talking about!
Sir - HI-RES is most certainly not a double IPA. It has pierced the stratosphere of double IPA and entered the ethereal orbit of triple or quadruple IPA. It is hop juice squeezed into a fermented barley soup stock. Its a hop stew. :-)
Half Acre Beer Hates Astronauts
Modern Times Blazing World
THE SUBSTANCE! I got it as an extra in a trade and I liked it better than my trade beer. I dream of it.
Laughable beers? Miles below everything else? Ok, since you live in NJ, you are invited down to the private tasting room at Sixpoint (not open to the public) and we'll do a blind tasting of the Sixpoint beers with the others you mentioned, along with some others in this thread. We'll see if our beers are truly *laughable* then. :-)
Hit me up with PM when you want to do the tasting. Thanks man!
Oskar Blues Ten Fidy and Westbrook One Claw Rye Pale Ale
Ten fidy, hooker watermelon, any NEBCO, swami is delicious, most sixpoint
What no Modern Times Fortunate Islands?
I'm watching you.
I'll bring the Heady, always up for a good laugh!
Well, you were not invited, but since you offered to bring gifts, come on by! ;-)
The first guy was talking gibberish and the wizards beard clearly affects his taste buds.
No love for SNPA?
The Alchemist Focal Banger IPA with mosaic and citra is my favorite, take it over a Heady 9 out of 10 times.
La Cumbre Elevated IPA
