My niece who lives in the Atlanta area is coming out to Arizona to visit next week, so I'm planning to ask her to bring back some local/regional stuff that I can't get here. I'm familiar with the basic Sweetwater and Terrapin stuff, but was wondering what else I should ask her to seek out at her nearby bottleshop for me? I'm up for all styles except sours. Thanks for any suggestions!

Cherry Street Coconut Porter. My fiancé and I had it at a bar in Georgia and she was blown away and I was pretty impressed. Then a few months later I saw it in the top 10 of a Paste Magazine blind taste test that included a lot of our favorites so she was right. It wasn’t super coconut, but it had a really nice creamy mouthfeel.

Creature Comforts Tropicalia is a pretty easy find in ATL stores these days if you've never tried it. If your niece has any way to trade locally for the Creature Galactic Space Circus, might want to see if she can find any (was a brewery only release yesterday that sold out, probably quite a few in ATL area got some). Also, Monday Night has been putting out some good stuff recently.

Skip Sweetwater and Terrapin and see if she can get any of these:
    Creature Comforts Tropicalia IPA
Monday Night Brewing IPA's are pretty solid (Slap Fight IPA and Han Brolo),
Scofflaw Brewing is impressive (Basement, Hooligan, and Double Jeopardy)
Burial Beer Co (really anything by them is great)

Creature Comforts Tropicalia and Athena are good choices and if they are lucky they might be able to find Mexican Cake

Thanks for the tips. Sounds like she did pick up some CC Tropicalia and Cosmik Debris, a Terrapin IPA Survival pack as well as a couple Moo-Hoo variants, and a couple things from Red Hare (which is nearby where they live).

    Monday Night Beyond the Clouds
    Cherry Street Steppin Razor
Also some of my favorites are from Three Taverns and Orpheus. The Earl Grey sour from Three Taverns is great as well as their Rowdy and Proud IPA. Any of Orpheus' sours are great.

Hey all, bumping this thread: I'm heading to Alpharetta for a concert this weekend. Could I expect to find Trop at places like Total Wine up that way? What other goodies might be floating around this week?

Sorry for late reply but trop is available throughout the area these days. Would have recommended trying to pickup Cherry St Steppin Razor, or stop by Variant for pours/to go Crowlers as they are new but exciting from what I’ve tasted

These days you can find Trop at Kroger and Publix. They've really upped their production--it's become pretty widely available.
