Looking to find good craft spots that are kid-friendly for a week-long trip in September. Somewhere that my lady will appreciate and feel comfortable to stay at with our baby. Stone is obviously on the list but I just wondered where else would be a good spot?

Even for some of the places that discourage having kids there, babies are often welcome - it's the running around that can cause issues. The real question here that the OP is asking is for places they'd be comfortable trading off a baby.

Kind of opposite to the question, but heads up Alesmith does not allow kids at all.

Oh really? That's a shame, it was one of the places on my list!

There are a ton of places with AleSmith on tap, plus their bottles are everywhere -- so I'd recommend going that route if you're still looking for their brews.

That is not true at the moment. They didn't allow kids shortly after the accident at Stone because they were worried about the liability issue, but now they are fine with kids and babies. So Wesbray - you are good there.

Added: Nick (who runs their tasting room) confirmed back in late March that they are allowing children again:

Blind Lady Alehouse and/or Tiger! Tiger! Always come to mind. I prefer BLAH for their food, and I feel they generally have the better tap list, but there are few places I'd rather have a beer on a sunny San Diego day than the back patio at Tiger! Tiger! $8 1L steins before 6pm is also rather nice.

Though, I should probably say that I'm not sure if they have a changing table...

That's NOT true at all ... I was just there with my 6 and 9 year old, no problem at all. Actually I recall Alesmith replying to a similar thread in this regional forum saying that they welcome kids.

Awesome, don't have to check that one off my list then. Seems like most places would be fine for kids in SD...how about Toronado, Hamilton's and Neighborhood?

Toronado has highchairs for kids. But it gets louder in there when it's busy. Tiger or blind lady I think is more kid friendly.

My bad they must have changed the policy. I've been turned away in the past with kids, as recent as the JBM release. We were told we could hang out by the food truck, but not inside.
