Best coconut milk stouts

I like the ones where you can't taste any coconut.

 

beer must have coconut milk.

 

I haven't had many that impressed me, even though I do like coconut. While I loved last year's Death by Coconut, this year it tastes just a bit artificial and/or metallic. Is it just me?

 

Sorry pal, definitely just you. This years batch was great.

 

Wormtown makes a beer called Norm's Chocolate Coconut Stout, its extremely good but very limited. Other than that New Holland has a Coconut Rum BA Dragon's milk that is excellent, and Jack's Abby makes a "cocoa-nut" Framinghammer with cocoa nibs and coconut that is very good. Hope this helps!

I don't know of any coconut milk stouts, but Oskar Blues Death By Coconut is an excellent coconut-heavy porter.

 

Creature Comforts Koko Buni is a milk porter with toasted coconut, coffee, cocoa nibs, and vanilla. It's excellent.

 

K'paui from Bent Kettle Brewing is a big hit in Wisconsin.

 

A great coconut porter is Window Seat from Baxter in Lewiston, ME - just released as its a seasonal once a year - right there with Death by coconut. We do taste tests each year and always 50/50.
