I am new to craft beer and am new to Arizona. My son is coming out for a visit and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some beer that is readily available here in Arizona. Something that he cannot get in Illinois, where he is from? Something that is highly rated? It seems he prefers IPA's. Thanks
Local packaged IPA's that are very worthy, Four Peaks, Lumberyard and SanTan. You can also get him a growler of others that aren't packaged at any number of places such as Fate, Sun Up and Papago. Out of state IPA's not available in Illinois, Odell, Ska, Marble, Coronado and Epic.
Get him some Odell for sure, readily available and awesome. Odell IPA, Myrcenary which is their double IPA, and Tree Shaker if it's still around which is their Imperial Peach IPA.
Finally had one of the OHSO nanoBrewery small batch brews after going about 10 times and I was pleasantly surprised. Had the IPA with the Citra hops. Fate is always good and their new IPA is fantastic!
Totally agree. I love going to Fate and Papago when I'm in town. Pig and Pickle is my new favorite dining and watering hole in the Valley but I always go to Angel's Trumpet to get a flight of beers...many of which aren't available in IL. One small correction to the list above is that Ska is available in IL.
