I know, I know....there are probably thousands, but since I don't live in NYC (reside in Chicago) I'd still love a couple options from people in the know. I'll be staying just north of Times Square the weekend before Christmas. Any good craft beer/wine bars? The Fiancee only drinks wine so that's why I added the wine bar part. We'll be wandering all over Manhattan so by no means do the bars need to be close to Times Square (that's just where we are staying).

In the Times Square area, there is Beer Authority (right by Port Authority Bus Terminal) and Pony Bar - both are good craft beer spots but not so sure on their wine selection.

Midtown East - Rattle n Hum & Ginger Man
Midtown West - Pony Bar & Beer Authority
UES - Pony Bar (second location)
    West Village - Blind Tiger

I believe Ginger Man and both Pony Bars will have wine, though unsure about BT and RnH.

Well, north of Times Square isn't very descriptive, but I'm assuming you're staying very close to Times Square. If that's the case, Rattle n hum is pretty close (and they do have wine). I wanna say it's at like 35th and 5th or something - very close. VERY good beer list there, but in my experience is extremely expensive. They also seem to have brewery events pretty frequently. Food is avg.

The Pony Bar in hells kitchen is fucking awesome. I wanna say it's like 14-16 taps. Constantly rotating. Mostly regional stuff if memory serves. Always 2 casks. Pretty sure they have wine. The best part here is that everything is ALWAYS $5. It's absurd. And $4 during happy hour. Oh, and the bartenders are always top notch. Food menu is limited but very good for what they have. Can get pretty busy at times, it's pretty small.

I'm from Jersey so those are really the only two places I've been to. I've always wanted to check out Blind Tiger, but it's just never near where I'm going when I'm in the city. And if you really feel like getting adventurous, Brooklyn has a ton of places. Or, for that matter, Jersey City in Jersey does too (as featured in October's BA magazine haha). Just a quick PATH ride. But I digress. Let us know what you end up doing! Maybe you can recommend something to me ha.

To the OP: Don't bother reading any more posts. They'll all be repetitive. The choices provided are the best.
I know your question was about Manhattan, but if you get adventurous, trawl the forums for Brooklyn Beer Bars.
