When I read the subject, I wasn't quite expecting what the OP then asked, which is probably why this thread has such a mish mash of replies; some more accurately fitting the subject line and some more accurately fitting the post. Tripel Karmeliet is probably the one that I would classify as the "innocent school-girl" type beer that I have seen floor more people in less time, simply because it drinks like there is no alcohol behind this 8.5 beer.

But as far as a beer that I feel best disguises or hides a higher ABV, that would be Alpine's Expo. That is probably my favorite "triple" IPA (at 11%), simply because there is no heat commonly found in other popular examples of the style, like Younger.

^^^ This and Utopias...both are very well hidden, you would never know your drinking such a high ABV Beer...

Evil Twin Aun Mas Cafe Jesus - 12.00 % and dangerously easy to drink. Dangerously expensive too at $8.99 for a 12 oz. bottle.

I can't believe I've read three people post Undercover Shutdown Ale. It's like 10% and tastes like 20%. But I seem to be hyper-sensitive to alcohol flavors. I taste anything that approaches 10%. Utopias? If you gave it to me blind I would never guess I was drinking beer.

I don't ever really taste a strong presence of alcohol in the monkey when I drink it I have to say... I see what your saying about Victory beers in general though..

Drank a De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva '10 the other night and was really surprised it's 13% (really wish I grabbed more bottles of it the other year, damn!).

Rush River Uber Alt. Only 8%. But for a reasonably priced sixer that drinks like a regular alt, you can get in trouble.

Even at 18% ABV, Avery's Uncle Jacobs tastes like it's about 1/3 as strong as it actually is.

Augustiner Edelstoff. It goes down incredibly easily, but at 5.6% it's a fair bit stronger than your average lager. Great stuff, but potentially dangerous!

It's 10.5% I thought that meant it was an OG of 1.050! Mind...Blown!

FBS on tap goes down so smooth, I can drink 5 pints of it in a sitting. Then the 8.4% kicks in. Can someone call me a cab?

For me it's Trappistes Rochefort 10. It's a 11.3% and the alcohol almost goes unnoticed.

For me it is generally the malt-forward DIPAs like 90 Min, 120 Min and Brown Shugga.

Otherwise, folks here need to drink more bourbon.

NB's Rampant come to mind as these go down real easy for me, the 8.5% is a bit of a creeper.
