That looks like Deep Ellum to me. My favorite bar of all time. Heavy on the lagers and your kitchen makes charcuterie. My kind of joint.

It doesn't matter so much as the size/make-up of the list as it does the knowledge of the staff, the freshness/turnover of the beer and the glassware. I have been to many "joints" with an impressive list, only to be disappointed with something else. Happy Gnome in St. Paul is tops in all areas, IMO.

I honestly don't remember the last time I went to a bar that wasn't a brewpub, tasting room, or a divebar where my drunker friends were buying. I need to make a trip back to Heroes (Fullerton, CA) and their 119 on tap. If I remember correctly, most of the clientele downtown in the area are looking for the establishments with $10-$15 cover charges, $8 Bud Lights and "DJs" with iPods hooked up to a laptop. I'll take the bar with over a hundred taps and kooky shit on the walls any day of the week.

Federal Taphouse in Lancaster, PA. It's the best one around here, but that's only because they have significantly more taps (101 I believe) than any other local competitors. It's hard not to have the best when you have that many options. My only complaint is that the prices can be a bit high.

That's not to say it's the best place to go around here. There are more factors to take into account than just the tap list.

Toronado San Diego. Best tap list day in day out. They don't often update it online. Just go in and say hi to Islander.

I think the answer to the "best list" question is one that rotates from day to day, between the Farmhouse in Burlington, VT, the 3 Penny Taproom in Montpelier, the Blackback pub and the Prohibition Pig, both in Waterbury. Maybe there's a rival somewhere on the west coast, but hard to believe anything in the east can match these.

That's a great list, for sure! There is one RI bar that I feel is the State's top brew destination, though. Check out Norey's in Newport. The list is always world-class, the staff knowledgable, and the beer fresh.

Although the customer service is lacking at best- Falling Rock in Denver is the best tap list out there in terms of variety and uniqueness. I've seen some other amazing places (Pony Bar in Hells Kitchen, NYC, Meddlesome Moth in Dallas, Fresh Craft in Denver to name a few) but none come close the the rarities, b-sides, rotation, and overall quality like Falling Rock.
