Best extra you've received?

Nope, it was my 2nd or 3rd trade with an awesome West Coast BA who doesn't trade anymore. It was 2008-2009 so Blabaer wasn't at the ultra whale level it's at now but was still pretty rare and sought after.

 

I meant to say I have tried to outdo him with extras on evry trade and every time he crushes me. Although it may be a lost cause, I'm not done trying.

 

Best extra(s) I received in a trade was a '09 Bourbonic Plague (Want), Black Butte XXI (Want), as well as some tulip glasses and various beer in a small trade from dmeadows last summer. Denis is a hell of a trader.

 

I got a HF Biere de Norma as an extra. This was about 4 months ago, so it was already at a whaleish status. I thought that was pretty kick ass.

 

I was pretty psyched to get a bottle of 07 Vertical Epic when I traded with Cuzco back in the spring of 2010, first one that jumps to mind.

Only sort of an extra (it was a mystery box), but I received a 13 year old Atlantic Brother Adam's Bragget from valdieu2 recently...

 

Just opened a box today with a Heady and Speedway Stout as extras. Pleasant surprise!

 

Haven't been trading too long, but I just got a box with Frangelic Mountain Brown as an extra

I've received a bunch of great extras but I have to say the most memorable was a BCBCS from ejeffer. This was in one of my first few trades on here. That was pretty awesome... I'm sure I'm forgetting some other awesome ones at this point but no offense is intended.

 

FW 15 and Parabola were both extra'd to me in the same trade. Blew my mind, love both of those beers so much. Luckily, I'd sent him a 4-pack of Heady Topper and a HF Everett as extras, so I didn't feel bad. It was awesome on both ends, I think, which is how trading should be.

 

Arctic Devil from LoPo87 stands out. I've also got some sweet boxes from some BA's that weren't prearranged trades. Not knowing what you are going to get sometimes makes it more fun. I got a Upland Lambic I had been hunting from MordorMongo that was awesome as well. Again, that wasn't something we traded, but it showed up nonetheless.

 

I'm pleased to say that I've received some pretty amazing extras from some amazing BA's. And while I appreciated all of them, the best would have to be a bottle of Isabelle Proximus courtesy of Vitsese.

Did a "surprise me" box with MasterSki -- he killed it -- FW13, BB4D, EC12 and on and on...I've had a lot of great experiences with great traders over the years but he's one generous trader!

 

Kern River Citra from JohnDoe8... At that point I was new to craft and a major hophead. So this was a blessing of an extra!
