Burning River without a doubt. Available all year, and doesn't succomb to the hype typically.

+1 to Alchemy Hour. +1 to Rye of the Tiger. +1 to Lake Erie Monster. GL makes some truly great hoppy beers.

Burning River and Dortmunder Gold are tremendous everyday beers.

Hard to pick. I definitely think, like Victory, they do lagers better than ales. Think I have to go with Eliot Ness.

Alberta Clipper is clearly the best. BA Blackout is incredible, Christmas Ale is wow, and Alchemy Hour/Lake Erie Monster are yea.

But Edmund Fitzgerald is a staple.

If I had to pick just one, it would be ALberta Clipper (they did send out a few kegs). But If I have to choose a bottled beer its BA Blackout. Distributed bottle is Lake Erie Monster.

    Man that was hard.

When its uber fresh, I would put that stuff up against some of the best IPAs in the states. I was blown away when I had it on opening day for the Indians in 2011.

Blackout Stout, yes I prefer it over BA Blackout (which is excellent too).

I think all of their beers are solid, but I have other favorites for style when it comes to things like alchemy hour or rye of the tiger or eddy fitz. Dortmunder gold is my personal fave by GLBC and I also agree with semibaked; prefer regular over barrel aged blackout.

definitely a toss up between nosferatu or alchemy hour (interested to see what they're going to change the name to for next year, will be looking forward to that one).

alchemy hour was a better balanced beer than lake erie monster in my opinion.

Edmund Fitz! One of the few great porters regularly available in my area.

Sales wise in my store, Xmas ale is the number one seasonal. Eliot ness # 1 everyday.

One brewery that nails nearly every style they do. Would love to try bourbon blackout but doesn't make it to ky.

I will take one of the above, please....

All GREAT. These guys do it right, but......

Christmas Ale, yeah, I know, but NOTHING says Holidays and Christmas than this offering.

There is no wrong answer here..............

    Nosferatu
    Wright Pils
    Oktoberfest
    Burning River

    ALL OF THEM!

But seriously you can't really go wrong with them, but if I had to pick a few... Ed Fitz, Oktoberfest, Dortmunder, Rye of the Tiger

I do think Ed Fitz might be their best beer of all though

Great Lakes has always been my favorite brewery.. instead of me naming all of their beers and pub exclusives..
I'll just keep it real: Alchemy Hour

.. before Alchemy Hour existed it was virtually impossible for me to narrow it down to just one..

Nosferatu. Both for the beer and the label.
