Have an # of Centennial , Citra, Galaxy & Simcoe. I haven't used centennial in a long while so I'm looking for one or two of the others to pair with it. Anyone have a strong preference for pairing.

Beer will be lower ABV and a shit ton of whirlpool hops. Thanks in advance

I've used centennial and citra together in the past and enjoyed it, but I'm not sure you could make a combination from that group that wouldn't be tasty

Thanks , thinking about it more I also have a fair amount of Columbus that I could use to scale back on fruitiness of the other hops

I like Columbus as a late hop, it plays really well with Centennial.

Citra or Simcoe would work as well.

Any will work. I recently used Simcoe/Centennial/Columbus at a ratio of 2:2:1.5 and it was great

I would try citra/simcoe equal parts and don't be stingy just to be different :grinning:

Centennial pairs well with citra and simcoe. I never had it with Galaxy, but if those were in my freezer, I'd not shy away. Should be tasty

My house ipa uses 8oz of citra and 2oz of centennial all added between 20 mins through dry hop. Love that combo

That would also work out but just Citra and galaxy really makes a nice tropical hop profile. I know you didn't list it but I like to throw a little chinook in with Citra and galaxy. Adds a little resiny to the tropical fruit basket.

I've never used galaxy, is it similar to mosaic? I believe fresh squeezed it's citra and mosaic.

I haven't played around too much with Citra or Galaxy. Centennial is great on its own, or with a little late addition Simcoe. Where's the Cascade?

I did an IPA once with Centennial, Amarillo and Palisade. The Palisade seemed to bring in an earthy quality I liked.

I find mosaic to be far sweeter than Galaxy. Galaxy to me is a combo of herbal dankness and exotic fruit. Mosaic has a white wine like sweetness to go along with the tropical fruits

Galaxy adds a lot of Passionfruit tropical aroma. I use it with Citra sometimes.

Jeff, what does Citra taste like to you? For me, Citra is all about tropical fruit flavors. If I brewed with Galaxy and Citra I would think I would obtain a beer that is extremely dominated by tropical fruit flavors. Is that what you get with this combo?

    Cheers!
