Hello, I'm headed way east sometime this fall and I'm craving some Sun King...and figured I'd make a stop in Indy.

The things I'm looking for most are :
    • Fresh Sun King Osiris in 12 packs and fresh GFJ
    • The 12 pack variety of their Cream Ale lineup
    • A store that will do singles of literally anything, and not completely kill you on markup (like Total Wine does)
I've called a few places and have not had a whole lot of luck. Do the (whopping six! :open_mouth:) Sun King brewery locations in Indy typically have a better turnover on their canned beer than the stores?

My other possible option is passing through Evansville, IN which has Beer Snob Bottle Shop.....I like that store but their beer turnover is iffy at best. I got stuck with a 2 y.o. 4 pack of Cafe Deth because I didn't check the date. $36 later...ouch. I could go either route and if Evansville has a store with those things in my bullet points it's slightly quicker for the trip overall.

Any helpful information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’ll try to respond later tonight. I won’t be the most help, but I lived in IN for so long I have a pretty good idea as of a couple years ago.

shoot me a message if I forget to respond by Tuesday.

Look at Parti-Pak Liquors, both north and south locations, for your selection of singles, but make sure to check bottling/canning dates when marked/stamped.
Crown Liquors has a number of locations, and may be a good store chain to call for the freshies you are looking for.
I know I have found a very good selection at both store chains but it has been three years or so since I have last traveled through the Indianapolis area.

Payless Liquors (9520 Uptown Dr Indianapolis, IN) I know that one specifically allows singles from anything on the floor. Not sure if that’s an every store for the chain or just that one. You can literally pull a can out of a 6 pack and they will give you a single price. The Sun King beers you want are not hard to find and you should be able to find them at most any liquor store.
