Doing a best IPA by state series on Instagram, looking for some input from BA members. Has to be in a can or bottle, and readily available, no limited brews, etc.

So far here are my notes:

    AL: Snake Handler DIPA
    AK: ?
    AZ: ?
    AR: ?
CA: Will split up North & South - North CA: Pliny the Elder, South CA: Nelson IPA
CO: Odell Brew IPA? Lots of good ones I need to try
    CT: Ganhdi Bot?
    DE: ? 60 Minute IPA? 90?
    FL: Jai Alai IPA
    GA: SweetWater IPA
    HI: ?

Any input would be appreciated. Trying to utilize the BA ratings in my picks.

I'd say for Ohio it'd be between Columbus's Bodhi, and The Brew Kettle's El Lupo Libre
For PA its a total mixup for me. Helltown's Idle Hands, Roundabout's Pacific Ring, but state wide I'm leaning to Victory's Dirt Wolf

I would also argue that Sucks is the best NorCal IPA. Enjoy By is the best SoCal IPA.

With places like Lawson's and Hill Farmstead it might not be. Ratings are just ratings, after all.

From Massachusetts, I assume a lot of people will nominate Tree House's Julius.

But I would say that Green is equally good, if not better.

I guess 'in a can or bottle and readily available' renders Flying Fish Exit 16 the default winner of NJ; it's a fine beer in any event .

Throw one out that probably no one here will get (unless from WV) but Chestnut Brew works here in Morgantown makes a beer called 'Your Best Hoption'. Truly magical brew. Oh and ohio I will vote for head hunter or juju. Edit: never realized flying fish is from nj. My bad. Double edit: I have lived in all 3 states

That's kind of what I was getting at above- do you think those qualify for how the OP described it?

IL: Pipeworks Mosaic Imperial Double IPA is my favorite. I was digging Two Brothers Wobble this weekend as well at Roundhouse...but I need to spend a bit more time with it.

*Edit: I believe Revolution Anti-Hero IPA is up there as far as more widely distributed stuff. Sorry, I didn't read the WHOLE post first haha.

+1 for Snake Handler. But in GA, my vote goes to Terrapin Hi-5 over Sweetwater IPA.

WI IPA: Bunny Green Toe (Lakefront IPA if you want something available across the whole state. Hard to find fresh, but when you do it's a damn near example of a malty IPA)
    WI IIPA: Scream

(Black Husky Pale Ale is just as good as any Wisconsin IPA, but since it isn't "officially" an IPA I'll leave it off this list.)
