Best IPA/DIPA you have had.

First time I had Pliny my palate exploded. Since then it's either gotten simpler or I've gotten over it. I'll still order it when I see it but it's not the same.

Since then:

Hop Venom -- makes Pliny look like Sunny D
Barley Browns Pallet Jack -- killer! (I miss the Pac NW)
Heady - Believe the hype
September's Enjoy By (so juicy I could taste it from the glass 10 inches from my mouth)
90 Minute -- can't find a DIPA that has a malty backbone quite like 90
Dirt Wolf -- new local favorite

No way I can come up with "Top 5". There is at least a 15-way tie when it comes to D/IPA for me. It's a matter what I can get my hands on at any given time. Truly I can say "the one in my hand" since a Flower Power in my hand is many times better than a Heady in someone else's.

Limiting it to five would be Elevated, Heady, Head Hunter, On the Wings of Armageddon, and Permanent Funeral.

 

My favorite IPA is Smuttynose Finest Kind. I recently moved to Wisconsin and, unfortunately, it is not available here.
