based *purely* upon my subjectivity, the Enjoy By 10/25 was the tops. I don't like the current one as much.

I would have to say Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail. Its a beast at 120 ibu and 13%abv but a beast for a reason. Complex, not overly sweet and just plain bomb!

I like PTE, but you need to do a side by with Abrasive, you'll be surprised no doubt. Not even close. I've done side by side with fresh Ht and fresh Abrasive and they were equally good, PTE couldn't hang with those two IMO. Ephraim might, but I didn't have it at he time.

Nothing like comparing Apples to Oranges. Abrasive being 9%+ and Ephriam being 10%+ to 8% beers.

Pliny and Heady match up both being 8% beers, but Abrasive and ESPECIALLY Ephraim should be compared to Pliny the Younger based on ABV. IMHO there's no comparison there. But at the end of the day it's all subjective. Let's keep it apples to apples though... Shall we??

It's been too long. You know I had to mess with you right my old friend?

It's hard to pin down a top five really because there's such diverse flavor/aromatic IPA/DIPA options available out there, but here goes based on my travels:
    - Heady Topper (The Alchemist)
    - Hop Zombie (Epic - from New Zealand)
    - Gandhi Bot (New England)
    - The Alchemy Hour (Great Lakes)
    - Flower Power (Ithaca)

Other Greats: Dirt Wolf (Victory), Hop Harvest 3 (Portsmouth Brewery), Sculpin (Ballast Point), Sucks (Lagunitas), Hop Stoopid (Lagunitas), and Captain's Reserve (Captain Lawrence)

    They're all so good.

Such a long list I could expand it out to, but top 5:

    Russian River Pliny the Elder
    Stone RuinTen
    The Alchemist Heady Topper
    Knee Deep Hoptologist
    Ballast Point Sculpin
Okay, 6: Bear Republic Racer 5

    Then, in no particular order:
    Port Brewing Hop-15
Lawson's/OC Double Dose (haven't tried Double Sunshine YET, but this beat on-tap Triple Play for me)
HF Harlan (prob #2 for me)
    Perennial/Deschutes Recital
Local: Wachussett Larry- seriously underrated/best local value hands down (in cans)

Honorables: HF Abner, Stone Ruinten, Resin, Sculpin, Dirtwolf, Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree, DFH 120 (more like a cognac, but hey)
    Honorable local: Wormtown Hopulence
Great expectations: Double Sunshine, Double Citra, Double Galaxy, Kern Citra, PtE, Jai ALai, Gandhi Bot, On the Wings of Armageddon

Ha, no problem, as I said I like PtE very much and those green labels with that little red Pliny always gives me a warm fuzzy. But... when I started drinking brews side by side it really becomes clear who has the most muscle. And 1% Abv doesn't count, not enough difference, and none mentioned are boozy in the least, Hopslam is 10% and it's not even in this discussion. One real plus with Abrasive and HT is they drink 5-6 weeks out from canning as good as the day they were put in, PTE is time sensitive, so ultra fresh in NC is a chore, I've had 15 days old once, most push 3 weeks.. Of course, if you want to flip some of that fresh PTE so I can give it a fair shot I'll more than willing to give it a shot,
