Just a term I made up, but let's define it as a beer too expensive to have on a daily basis for middle-class folk. Or you can define it as a product more than 50% than a comparable product on the market. In number terms, I'm going to say more than $5 per serving. Just take a look at the table below of some IPA's mentioned in this post. I included a Rodenbach at the bottom which requires years of barrel aging as an upper comparison of "luxury". West comes pretty close to world-class sour beer classic.

Picked some up at Ramirez yesterday. They had a great selection but only have so much money.

I'm probably the only person who doesn't love Citraholic or Amalgamator, but Melrose was one of my favorite WC IPAs I had last year.

Another one that I really enjoy is Brouwerij West. Picnic Lightning is one of my favorites by them.

Strauss is julian dated on bottom of cans and on necks of bottles. Cans is obvs upon inspection, but on bottles you gotta hold it up to the light because it's dark ink on brown bottle. My local Vons had fresh sixers of Aurora Hoppyalis for $9.99 not too long ago... good times.

Definitely one of the more underrated IPA’s around. It reminds me of the old school IPA’s I grew up on. Dry bitter grapefruit.
